Jeylen Arteaga

Architectural Associate

Jeylen holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture at the University of Houston. With a background in Graphic Design and Digital Communications, she brings strong marketing and proposal building skills to the AMB team.

She works closely with the firm president to ensure the communications and visual language of the firm are consistent across multiple platforms to maintain a unified brand presence. Her billable work consists of medical and corporate interior projects.

When she isn’t creating, Jeylen is usually training for a marathon or spending time in nature with her family.

What do you like best about working at AMB Architects?
You can’t beat having team members who are fun and are both good at and love what they do. I also like the level of trust and encouragement we have for one another because it goes a long way towards building our positive company culture. This builds us up as people and it helps our company grow.
How do you relax?
Art is my therapy so you will often find me listening to some relaxing beats while crafting or drawing something that represents how I feel.
What is your Personal Life Philosophy?
Don't dwell over your mistakes; just try to be and do better. Because the pursuit of perfection is a terrible waste of time, especially considering that mistakes can really become an artist's next masterpiece.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup.
What is your favorite quote or motto?
“I paint my own reality.” - Frida Kahlo. I like this quote because it reminds me that anything you can imagine is possible and that perspective is everything.
